From the box: “Lightly sweetened whole grain oats, brown rice and corn pillows are satisfyingly crunchy, gluten free and contain natural prebiotic fiber.” The flavor of this cereal is kind of strange. There’s a very strong aftertaste that screams CORN. Not cool, Puffins Multigrain, not cool.

I don’t know how in the world there are 6g of sugar in this cereal per serving. It doesn’t taste sweet at all, which is my biggest issue with the taste.

The box description is correct when it describes this as “satisfyingly crunchy” – it truly is! There’s a great crunch to this cereal when dry, but it doesn’t hold up as well with milk.

I really like the look of this cereal. The puffed shapes are in 3 different colors, which seems more appealing than just 1 or 2.

I’d prefer the image of the puffin to be a cartoon instead of a realistic depiction, but I guess that’s just me. I think the puffin looks weird and I wonder why they didn’t just create a character along the lines of Toucan Sam to lure children to eat this cereal. What a lost opportunity!

I’m not really satisfied when I eat Puffin Multigrain cereal. I gave it a few tries, both dry and with milk, and each time seemed like it was lacking something. Combine this feeling with the weird corn aftertaste, and you end up with a cereal I will more than likely never try again.
